Summit Seeker Kid'z Kamp
Check out this sneak preview of the 2012 summer Summit Seeker Kid'z Kamp activity schedule. Remember, this is only a sneak peek. Event details may change, be sure to check back soon, or call us for more details. Kid'z Kamp will run on Victoria Day long weekend and weekends in June.
Kid'z Kamp is $25+gGST per child for each 3-hour activity. For two activities or more Kid'z Kamp is $20+GST per activities per child. Kampers Need To Bring: water/juice, sunscreen, snack, running shoes, and a hat.
Monday Kamps
Wilderness Walk and Water Painting
When - 9:00am - 12:00pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
This is a great opportunity for Kampers to explore the mountain surroundings and take time to paint the wonderful scenery. Kamper's will receive an introduction to the mountain names and some of the most famous, popular mountains to paint.
Tuesday Kamps
Canmore Museum and Geoscience Centre
When - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Kampers will enjoy an afternoon spent learning about the history and geology of the area as well as a visit from the experts at the Canmore Museum and Geoscience Centre.
Pizza, Pyjamas and a Movie
When - 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Kampers will enjoy cheese or pepperoni pizza with soft drinks followed by a classic children’s movie.
Wednesday Kamps
Summer Scavenger Hunt & Craft
When - 9:00am - 5:00pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Go on a scavenger hunt to find the supplies to make a great summer craft.
Story Time and Splash Fun!
When - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Kampers will enjoy an afternoon listening to fun stories followed by splash fun and games in our kid’s splash area.
Thursday Kamps
Native American Stories and Crafts
When - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Listen to exciting historical local stories of Native American heritage and culture. Followed by making your own Native American craft.
BBQ Party
When - 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Kampers will be treated to barbequed hot dogs and hamburgers in the Solara Courtyard followed by playtime on the playground. Kounselors will provide balls and games.
Friday Kamps
Interactive Introduction to Dog Sledding
When - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Kampers will come to enjoy an interactive introduction to dog sledding presented by a local dog sledding company, Mad Dogs and Englishmen, filled with games, events and puppies!
Fiesta Dinner Party
When - 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Kampers will get together for an evening that includes tacos and homemade ice-cream. Followed by Latin music and a Mexican-inspired craft.
Saturday Kampz
Recycled crafts & Outdoor Games
When - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Kampers will be placed in teams and given the opportunity to find hidden and unique items. Followed by a treasure hunt and outdoor games.
Backwards Dinner and a Movie
When - 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Where - Meeting in the Solara Resort & Spa lobby
Enjoy the evening’s activities in backwards order! Wear your clothes backwards, while enjoying the evening’s menu in backwards order! Have your ice cream first, then your dinner. Dinner will be followed by a classic childrens movie.
Sunday Kamps
Waffle Breakfast, Coloring & Face Painting
When - 9:00am - 12:00pm

Enjoy a delicious waffle breakfast with all the best waffle fixings: fruit, syrup, whip cream, and more. Followed by fun waffle coloring.
